SessionM, an Engineering team within Mastercard Company, builds and maintains a Cloud-based SaaS (Software as a Service) platform empowering the worlds most innovative brands to forge stronger and more profitable customer relationships. Our SaaS platform powers loyalty & rewards programs and scales for the enterprise, globally. SessionM is currently expanding our Product and Development and is looking for the best talents to be an integral part of our Engineering team.

The Cloud Operations team is responsible for the day-to-day operations and configuration changes of our platform to ensure our applications meet SLA's and help maximize security, scalability, and performance.

Role Responsibilities

  • Contribute to infrastructure improvements, automation, and monitoring of our global cloud infrastructure.
  • Working closely with Infrastructure Engineering to ensure a successful and optimal utilization of AWS cloud resources.
  • Monitoring and executing changes to our platform to ensure service level SLAs are met or exceeded.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure our service level SLAs are met 24x7.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades to keep our platform on supported infrastructure.
  • Perform operations tasks to support internal customer requests.
  • Assist with organization wide security considerations.
  • Continue to automate (Infrastructure as code) common operations tasks to develop new runbooks.
  • Facilitating teams contributions to sustain and improve operation and culture


Skills You Will Need

  • Minimum 5 years of Cloud Engineering or SRE work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with AWS or other Cloud providers.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with Terraform.
  • Ability to code/script using either Python, Ruby, Golang, or similar.
  • Administrating Linux systems.
  • Communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence others, build relationships, manage conflicts, handle negotiations, and have fun!
  • Experience with AWS IAM policies and automation tooling
  • Experience with AWS security, IAM and policy creation


Additional Skills That Will Help You To Stand Out

  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with configuration automation tools like Puppet or Chef.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, ECS or EKS.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SignalFx, CloudWatch or Nagios.
  • Experience with troubleshooting databases, such as MySQL or MSSQL.
  • Courage to take initiative and cope with challenges daily.
  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Exposure to continuous integration/delivery tools like Jenkins or Gitlab.

In line with Mastercards total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Pay Ranges

Boston, Massachusetts: $115,000 - $184,000 USD

Arlington, Virginia: $115,000 - $184,000 USD
