Senior Configuration Manager
Location: Dulles, VA
Must have Public Trust
Node is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission-critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats.
As a member of the Office of Chief Engineer (OCE), the Configuration Management Engineer works directly with the programs Agile Release Train (ARTs) engineers to create and maintain configuration baselines (software, COTS/GOTS, development, test, production, etc.) used to support national-level mission-critical cybersecurity capability development, and operations and maintenance activities.
- The Configuration Management Engineer uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
- Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
- Implements CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life.
- Performs change control and configuration audits.
Requirements
Required skills:
U.S. Citizenship
Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
6+ years of directly relevant experience
Experience and/or familiarity with CM standards such as ISO, ITIL and CMMI.
Demonstrated ability to have documented and performed hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to have defined and implemented hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain the program's CM systems and document and software libraries
Demonstrated ability to develop and improve the program CM processes.
Demonstrated ability to provide CM process training to the program team.
Communicate CM status to CM Management and Program Management.
Cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure preferred)
Desired skills include:
Experience and/or familiarity with Agile development methodology.
Experience and/or familiarity with one or more of the following: Perl, shell scripting, C++, C#, Java.
Experience and/or familiarity with one or more configuration management tools (e.g, ServiceNow, DOORS, CVS, Eclipse, Clearcase, Subversion, etc.).
Development experience with product build scripts and procedures and integrate scripts with the hardware and software build process.
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Information Technology or Business discipline is required.
Eight (8) additional years of experience (for a total of fourteen (14) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.
Desired Certifications:
DODI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I certification
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications
