Role Introduction
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and communicating with clients on multiple projects within our Client Programs (CP) Market. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on global and national building programs, emphasizing project and client leadership through all phases of design and delivery. Your responsibilities will include preparing conceptual, schematic, and design development estimates, performing quantity surveys, bid reviews, and construction trend research. To succeed in this role, you must possess commercial construction estimating experience and exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for the client when needed.
Collaborate and coordinate multiple projects with the client, architect PM, engineers, and contractors.
Perform detailed takeoffs of materials and trades for all CSI divisions as required for estimates and to support senior staff.
Prepare labor, material, and equipment pricing research and apply it to estimates.
Provide conceptual, preliminary, schematic, and design development estimates for new construction, remodels, and small infrastructure projects. Ensure detailed breakdowns for all major CSI divisions.
Prepare detailed narratives for estimates to convey the scope of work to the client.
Stay updated on industry trends related to estimating methods, technology, construction methods, materials, wages, and cost escalation.
Assist team members with questions related to ways, means, methods, or costs.
Assess the comprehensive scope of work for each project.
Evaluate and manage site investigations for each project.
Supervise estimators to "package" final estimates.
Provide quality assurance of estimates before delivery to clients.
Offer impromptu spreadsheets and cost comparisons upon client request.
Update the historical database of Cost Management.
Perform bid reviews and change order reviews.
Meet with project managers, consultants, and clients to gather necessary information for estimates, bids, and budgets, including drawings, specifications, reports, and clarification of scope.
Clarify any discrepancies and obtain missing information from architects, engineers, and clients.
Provide value engineering suggestions to the team during the estimation process.
Visit building sites for clients as required.
Attend client team management and project kickoff meetings as required.
Attend all Cost Management team meetings or functions as needed.
Produce accurate and consistent work, adhering to assigned schedules.
Monitor time spent on all projects to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Meet with clients to review estimates, proposals, and make recommendations for value engineering solutions.
Demonstrate professional development and growth, and effectively train junior staff.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Proficiency in onscreen takeoffs with Bluebeam or equivalent software.
Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field.
Demonstrates MG2 Practice Values of Integrated Approach, Design Excellence, Social Responsibility, Leadership, and Results.

Salary Range
The national salary range for this position is $98,200 - $143,000. Compensation is dependent on applicable years of experience and skillset.
