Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creative execution of CoComelon's content across all formats, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and maintaining a high level of quality within the schedule and budget parameters
  • Collaborate with writers, artists, directors, producers and other executives to develop engaging and educational content that appeals to preschool-aged children
  • Work in tandem with directors and creative executives to lead brainstorming sessions and provide creative direction and feedback to the team
  • Work closely with CCO and EP on overall CoComelon creative strategy year over year
  • Lead and mentor a team of creative and music executives, including developing and supporting their career pathways
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the preschool animation market, and provide insights and recommendations on content development and strategy
  • Review and provide high level feedback on all content, ensuring that it meets brand standards and is appropriate for the target audience
  • Build and maintain relationships with talent and partners in the children's entertainment industry
  • Represent CoComelon at industry events and conferences
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, brand partnerships and L&M to ensure that all content aligns with overall business objectives

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in creative execution and production, with a focus on children's content
  • Deep understanding of the preschool animation market and early childhood development
  • Proven track record of creatively guiding, executing and producing successful children's content
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Television, Communications, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children and/or executing content for this age group
  • A passion for preschool content
  • Knowledge of industry-standard workflows and best practices for content creation and production
  • Ability to provide creative direction to other executives, directors, artists, musicians and technicians
  • Strong network of contacts in the children's entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of animation pipeline to enable thoughtful and timely feedback
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
