Our partner is currently seeking a Senior DPU Hardware and Software Codesign Engineer for a remote position in Sunnyvale, CA to lead DPU hardware and software codesign. As a member of the High-Performance Computing Software development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing new protocols and algorithms that optimize performance on networked supercomputers and datacenters. This position focuses on advancing the state-of-the-art in DPU networking technology and offers an opportunity to work with groundbreaking networking technology like Bluefield DPUs.

Responsibilities:

  • Codesign and implement new protocols and algorithms to enhance performance on networked supercomputers and datacenters.
  • Collaborate with technical leaders to solve challenges in machine learning, cloud computing, and system co-design.
  • Develop high-performance communication middleware for diverse applications running on supercomputers, data centers, and clouds.
  • Innovate and invent software products with a focus on performance, scalability, and features.
  • Collaborate with networking chip design teams to codesign next-generation HPC infrastructure.
  • Adapt to a dynamic and challenging work environment.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of experience in programming in C/C++.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Linux environment and tools.
  • Deep knowledge of Networking Protocols such as InfiniBand and Ethernet.
  • Expertise in computer architecture and operating systems.
  • Experience in performance optimizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/software engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated use of creative ideas to solve challenging problems.
  • PhD in CS/EE/Math/Physics.
  • Knowledge in MPI and high-performance computing.
  • Background in RDMA technology.
  • Experience with DPUs and/or other network offloads (e.g., SHARP).
  • Open Source Software Contributor.
