Job Role: Data Architect Job Location: Piscataway, NJ Duration: 6- 12 months Job type: W2 contract Overview: Candidate should have experience in data architecture roles involving large-scale data warehousing and data lakes on AWS. Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions. Knowledge of data governance and data cataloging best practices, is an advantage Required Skills: Relevant Experience 4-5 years as a Database Architect with a strong focus on AWS database services. Knowledge of AWS database services, including but not limited to Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon DynamoDB. Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and SQL. Understanding of database security and compliance standards. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Proven track record of successfully migrating databases from on-premises environments to AWS cloud. Experience with data transformation and ETL processes during database migration. Proficiency in using AWS Database Migration Service and related tools for seamless database migration. Ability to assess existing on-premises databases, identify migration challenges, and develop migration strategies. Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and rollback procedures during migration. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty) a plus. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization, is a plus.
