Senior Data Engineer

Build-out entire data ecosystem enterprise Data Ecosystem (DataLake/Data Warehouse/Self-service Analytics)/Visualization capabilities for batch/ad-hoc solutions that serve external product/internal reporting/analytics needs; use programming languages (Python, Java), relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle), SQL, PL/SQL (big data sets in hundreds/terabytes scale); work with Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate); use analytical/Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, QlikView, R); work with development team to create conceptual data models/data flows; develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within system; review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility; implement data strategies/develop physical data models; update/optimize local/metadata models; evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, efficiency; perform troubleshooting; optimize data systems; propose optimization strategies to reduce data processing bottlenecks; perform data modeling; create ERDs (Entity Relationship Diagrams); build ETLs/analytics workflows based on requirements from data analysts/internal business partners; ingest new data sources into enterprise data lake; verify that data governance policies being followed; collaborate with data owners on new data governance technologies/capabilities; collaborate with business stakeholders [product teams, data scientists, internal functions (sales, marketing, support, finance] to gather/align business requirements/values; develop mitigation strategies/solutions to identified gaps; work with data sets (hundreds of petabytes scale); implement data quality checks/validation processes to ensure data accuracy/consistency; troubleshoot data-related issues; provide timely resolution to minimize downtime/disruptions; participate in code reviews; ensure high-quality code standards are followed; create/maintain documentation for data engineering processes, flows, infrastructure; and work with GCP native capabilities to streamline/unlock data value across SentinelOne. May travel to various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. This is a telecommuting position with remote benefit from anywhere in U.S. Travel is required.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering plus 1 year experience. Experience to include using programming languages (Python, Java), relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle), SQL, PL/SQL (big data sets in hundreds/terabytes scale); working with Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate); and using analytical/Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, QlikView, R). May travel to various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. This is a telecommuting position with remote benefit from anywhere in U.S. Travel is required.

Salary range is $179,670 to $180,000 per year.
