Duties Include:
1. Build new models to fill out the Refinitiv portfolio of offerings in investment banking.
2. Monitor the performance of existing investment banking quant models.
3. Monitor market trends and changing regulations that affect our quant models.
4. Regularly upgrade models to reflect changing conditions/regulations.
5. Improve on the underlying algorithms of existing models.
6. Review pertinent academic literature.
7. Participate in developing research hypotheses.
8. Perform analyses to test hypotheses and formulate insights.
9. Design metrics to evaluate model performance.
10. Present and communicate results and ideas clearly and concisely to other members of the research team.
11. Collaborate with other teams as needed.
12. Promote and explain the models to our customers.
May Telecommute from commuting distance to Allen, TX per company hybrid work policy.
3 years of experience in a data science/analytics-related occupation. Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:
1) 3 years of experience performing data analytics/data science in the financial industry
2) 3 years of experience working in the RMBS or Securitized Products domain
3) 3 years of experience performing Statistical Modeling or machine learning, including hypothesis testing, time series analysis, regression, classification and clustering
4) 3 years of experience working with multiple asset classes, including Equities, Bonds, M&A or Loans
5) 2 years of experience working on data visualization and data storytelling in the financial industry
6) 2 years of experience writing modular and scalable code using version control systems such as Git
7) 3 years of experience working with programming languages including Python, R, or SQL.
Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Quantitative Finance, or related quantitative discipline
