US Federal Solutions, a leading management consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic and technical guidance across a range of data science projects. The ideal candidate has a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions, a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, and experience developing predictive models in a commercial context.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple data science projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard
• Develop predictive models and other analytical solutions using statistical programming languages such as Python and R
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into data requirements
• Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to design and implement data pipelines and data platforms
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on technical and professional development
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of data science and machine learning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• At least 7 years of experience in a data science role
• Expertise in statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R
• Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience leading and mentoring junior team members
• US citizenship and an active, fully adjudicated secret security clearance is required
