Under general supervision, performs broad systems administration and technical support for both stand-alone PC hardware and software and local area networks. Supports day-to-day operations including end user devices, peripheral equipment and provides technical oversight of the IT Service Desk. This is a mid- to senior-level Desktop Team position with the ideal candidate having 5+ years in desktop support and the ability to work autonomously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installs and maintains hardware and software products and configures PC equipment according to department standards.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and corrects hardware, software, or operations problems.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and perform steps to identify root cause of unavailable systems or network.
  • Opens, assigns, and escalates support tickets based on importance and priority.
  • Monitor and answers IT Support requests and resolves technical problems.
  • Documents and implements standard operating procedures.
  • May be required to work on-call, weekends, and overtime occasionally.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues remotely via remote desktop software (to include internationally).
  • Be a point of escalation for junior desktop support techs.
  • Work side by side with the infrastructure and/or applications teams on projects and assist as a technical resource as needed.
  • Ability to interact with vendors and be a local point of contact.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Familiarity with desktop imaging software, specifically SCCM and InTune
  • 1-2 years experience with Office 365 Tenant Administration
  • Experience with Windows / Mac computers in a corporate environment a plus
  • Experience with IT ticket tracking system (ServiceNOW a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to maintain and secure sensitive/confidential information.

Education and Experience

A bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or related field preferred.

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidates qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $60,000 to $75,000 Full-Time Annual Salary/Hourly Range
