Senior Director Analytics

Who we need:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative, and enthusiastic Senior Director of Analytics & Communications to join the team. The ideal candidate is someone comfortable both managing and working hands-on with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products and solutions. This role will engage with a wide gamut of analytical practices from historical reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) to advanced technologies incorporating Machine Learning (ML) and generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI). Communication is a key aspect of the role, as the Senior Director of Analytics & Communications will collaborate heavily with a variety of senior product, data, technology, and business stakeholders.
This role requires knowledge and experience across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including data analysis and visualization, product/solution development, UI/UX, product marketing, digital communications, and competitive/market analysis.

What youll do:
- Develop and execute strategies for data analysis, visualization, and reporting to support both internal and external business initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of analytics solutions that drive business outcomes and growth.
- Lead product development teams in the ideation, design and development of analytics, ML and Gen-AI powered solutions.
- Lead software developers and teams in designing purposeful, modern user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) for products, data visualizations and other deliverables.
- Work closely with product teams to develop a deep understanding of customer behavior and preferences and provide data-driven insights to inform product development.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify industry trends and opportunities and make recommendations for strategic action.
- Collaborate with leadership to produce creative communication tools (presentations, infographics, data sheets, thought leadership content, video, other) for internal and external distribution.
- Partner with marketing teams to communicate the impact and benefits of the analytics teams innovative work.
What youll need:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Communications, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Working knowledge of emerging AI / ML concepts including Gen AI, GPT and LLMs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing a team and working cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles and experience collaborating with design teams to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide data-driven recommendations and insights.
- Strong creative skills with the ability to drive all aspects of design and production of communication solutions such as visual presentations, video content, infographics and other delivery mediums.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in the areas of data analysis, visualization, and solution development, preferably in a product-focused environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and related solutions
- Experience in product marketing and competitive analysis is a plus.
