Position Summary:

Restore is currently seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources to join our team. This role will drive the development and day-to-day execution of the Human Resources Operations team while assisting with setting organizational-wide HR strategies for the Company. The Senior Director of Human Resources will lead the Human Resources Operations initiatives to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and organizational growth. This individual contributes as a strategic partner in the accomplishment of departmental plans through initiatives that develop employees and leaders, assure compliance, and align organizational goals and objectives. This role must be willing and able to roll up their sleeves and participate as a working leader in the trenches as the role requires, while maintaining the ability to partner strategically with the VP of HR on a regular basis.

This role is required to be onsite in Austin, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the functional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to retention, personnel records, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, compensation management, learning and development, payroll, benefits administration, organizational development, workers compensation, other areas with HR Operations, and special projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining a highly engaging culture, motivating employees, and fostering an environment with high levels of teamwork, accountability, communication, and vision for employees.
  • Responsible for leading the performance management process, including communication plans and compensation adjustments including but not limited to; merit increases, market and or equity adjustments and bonus plans.
  • In partnership with VP of HR and legal, develops, updates, interprets, and manages policies and procedures. Develops organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resource issues; contributes information, analysis, and recommendations to the organizations strategic direction.
  • Lead and partner with legal and VP of HR on employee relations matters and investigations as they arise.
  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures; assists in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures; provides input to update and maintain employee handbook.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the VP of HR and legal team to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Including areas such as turnover, employee engagement and eNPS.
  • Work closely with all people leaders to advise, counsel, and provide coaching and resolution to address employees performance. Provides performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions).
  • Serve as a business partner to all people leaders.
  • Work closely with management and employees to provide consultation and guidance to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Plan and make improvements to new employee orientation and onboarding programs as needed and in partnership with legal.
  • Ensure the maintenance and compliance of records of transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, attendance records, corrective action records, employee performance, and schedules.
  • Ability to successfully lead and implement integrations for new HR systems and other tools as necessary.
  • Lead, oversee and manage all leave including FML, personal leave, medical leave, STD, LTD and ADA accommodation process in partnership with VP of HR and legal.
  • Manage and oversee workers compensation and unemployment.
  • Manage exit survey/interview process and provides reportable data and trends to identify actionable items to impact employee experience and retention.
  • Maintain and manage HRIS of use to efficiently leverage to maximum extent.
  • Lead M & A activity from HR perspective and serve as a business partner for those transactions.
  • Track and administer PI (Profits Interest) on a regular basis in partnership with legal and finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred.
  • HR certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in Director level HR Leadership role.
  • Knowledge and expertise with FMLA, ADA and benefits administration required.
  • Experience leading and developing HR professionals.
  • Experience with payroll and/or leading payroll strongly preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for multi-tasking, working autonomously and not afraid to ask for support or clarity when needed.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a strong ability to hit the ground running from day one.
  • Experience advising both employees and management on Employee Relations issues, and successful partnership with legal on related matters.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience handling complex employee relations and investigations required.
  • Experience with learning and development strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Talent Acquisition and full cycle recruitment a plus.
  • Ability to present and communicate successfully at a Sr. Director level, to all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and a wide understanding of human relations; high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to assess multi-faceted issues, anticipate potential problems, and apply high level of skill and judgment around complex and ambiguous issues.
  • Strong ability to handle competing priorities and prioritize appropriately with limited assistance.
  • Ability to influence and partner with different levels of employees to achieve results.
  • Ability to assess and introduce continuous process improvements in HR operational areas.
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to demonstrate presence and credibility within the organization.
  • Ability to support and champion the mission and values of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite required.
  • UKG Pro experience strongly preferred.
  • Jira experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software as required for the role.
