Remote role Prefer candidate location to be East coast, Midwest area. Resources must work East Coast (EST ) hours. (link removed) Must work full time EST hours. At minimum Eastern part of the US. It is a remote testing position. Resource may need to come to the Greenville or Houston office if required but it may be just for a few days to attend workshop/meetings etc. if so, expenses will be paid. We expect the person to work as if they live in EST timezone. This is a high paced project and resources are expected to be flexible to work early hours or late hours outside of normal EST working time to meet deadlines and talk to cross functional teams in Europe time zones. Any pushback will not be accepted.

Communication is crucial. Communication must be exceptional as a person will be communicating across functional teams, IT, the business and the stakeholders. Must read, write, speak and present flawlessly. The person needs to have very clear communication skills since they will be independently working with cross functional teams asking questions during requirements, creating test scripts, presenting their cases and finding and explaining defects.

Description:

We are looking for an ETL QA tester position with at least 8 years of back end Database testing experience in ETL/DWH, BI/Cubes and Reports testing. Person must be a senior ETL Tester that can hit the "ground running" and can work independently and successfully ( there will be no hand holding). Person must be able to create and execute complex SQL Queries in oracle and SQL Server databases, have extensive ETL testing experience to include database, BI/cubes, reports, DWH, defects log and analyzing, creating and executing test strategy.

General Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirements meetings with business as input into test planning
• Prepare test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Design test cases based on business rules and data mapping documents.
• Create complex SQL queries for data validation (Requires strong background in SQL scripting)
• Execute the required ETL, Cubes and Reports validation test cases.
• Perform aggregate and comparative data analysis to ensure data flows and integrations are valid
• Log defects for failed test cases and retest defects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
• Proficient to work cooperatively and independently
• Work directly with project managers, SME's, developers, to work towards successful project completion.
• Experience in onshore/offshore team model

Technical Skills: (Please do skill matrix rating for below requirements rate 0-5, with 5 being expert level. And also include # years of experience)

8 years in ETL/ DWH, Cubes and Reports testing experience

Experience with tools such as MS BI Suite (SSIS, SSAS & SSRS), especially SSIS

Experience with SSAS cube testing

Well versed with data bases like Oracle and SQL Server

Well versed working with the SQL Server database platform

Well versed with SSRS to allow for report validation

Expert SQL query writing ability

Experience with ETL automation tools is highly preferred.

Strong analytical skills

Familiarity with QA software like TFS. Person should have used the Microsoft TFS (team foundation server) tool before
