The position will involve a full range of electrical planning, design, and operational services for water/wastewater projects. Responsibilities will include working with engineers, contractors, manufacturers, and clients on: - Project components pertaining to electrical systems and code requirements should be designed. Include controls, lighting, instrumentation, and electricity in the design.
- Determine what equipment is needed for the project and the accessible technologies by researching commercially available equipment.
- As you track expenses during the entire design stage, estimate the cost of the suggested work.
- Work with other disciplines, including process, HVAC, mechanical, administrative, and equipment suppliers, to coordinate design and timeline.
- Make routine site inspections and perform other tasks as stipulated in the contract service agreement.
Requirements The successful candidate for this position should have the following requirements: - Five or more years of expertise designing and building SCADA systems and/or electrical power.
- Electrical engineering bachelor's degree, or training equivalent.
- Competent with AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication abilities both in writing and verbally, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal personnel, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- A Wisconsin PE or Designer of Engineering Systems licence that is valid right now, or the possibility to get one in the next six months.
- Possess the ambition to work as a consultant.
- Prior experience in the municipal water and wastewater markets as well as knowledge of the electrical aspects of the water and wastewater processes.
