Required experience:
5+ years minimum experience required in estimating industrial electrical projects valued over $5M. Preconstruction experience to be proficient in budgeting, scheduling, design assistance, constructability reviews, submittal reviews, and cost tracking.

Education:
Electrical Apprenticeship Program, a degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related experience.

Job Description:
Allison-Smith Company is looking for a full-time, experienced electrical Estimator to support an accomplished and rapidly growing electrical contracting, engineering, and technology firm in Smyrna, GA.

A qualified candidate is hard-working, easy-going, innovative, self-motivated, and has the desire to be an integral part of our professional team. This is an in-office position, so you will be expected to report to our office in Smyrna during business hours.

The primary role of this position is to support the project estimation team in creating well-thought-out budgets, estimates, and schedules and to assist with design and constructability reviews for projects.

Experience with Accubid estimating software is required. Proficiency in using Bluebeam to perform take-offs is also necessary. Knowledge of Accubid Anywhere, specifically, is strongly preferred.

Qualifications / Skills:
Proficient with Accubid estimating software
Proficient with Bluebeam
Proficient with MS Office Suites
Ability to produce a bill of materials
Ability to download and file drawings from an FTP site
Ability to navigate within folder filing structure
Ability to produce a complete electrical budget
Experience in estimating power control systems
Understanding of the latest BIM trends
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
Knowledge of fiber/ low voltage installation
In-depth understanding of electrical construction:
o Budgeting throughout the design process
o Scheduling
o Submittals
o Constructability reviews
o Value engineering
o Cost Tracking
o Production Tracking

Responsibilities:
The qualified candidate will clearly understand and be able to use Accubid estimating software.
The qualified candidate will be able to take a schematic design and produce a detailed estimate by filling in the missing information in the design of a facility.
The assumptions made will need to be clearly stated.
