A day in the life.

MMA Environmental is seeking an experienced
Environmental Specialist
to join our professional environmental advisory firm and help our clients identify, quantify, and mitigate environmental risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing environmental risk management services to clients in a variety of industries. The
Senior Environmental Specialist's
role is client-facing and requires internal and external collaboration to identify and assess environmental risks, develop and implement strategies to mitigate those risks, and drive compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Wed love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
1-6 years minimum environmental experience in consulting or general industry preferred
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related science-based field of study
Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations including: the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation & Recovery Act, etc.
Conducting environmental assessments and audits to identify potential environmental risks and liabilities
Developing and implementing environmental management plans and strategies to mitigate identified risks
Providing technical expertise and guidance to clients on environmental compliance issues, including air quality, water quality, hazardous waste management, and environmental permitting
Conducting environmental due diligence assessments for mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and other business activities
Preparing and submitting environmental permit applications and reports to regulatory agencies
Conducting environmental training for clients and staff on environmental regulations and best practices
Staying up-to-date on changes to environmental regulations and industry trends
Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

These additional qualifications are a plus:
Excellent soft (people) skills; ability to work well with clients and co-workers
Experience conducting environmental assessments and audits
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
Computer skills: MS Teams, OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
