About the Role RTM is looking for an experienced Senior Event Operations Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience managing an event logistics team in the B2B conferences/events space and has an excellent understanding of what is required to run a successful event. They will ensure execution of our conferences, from pre-event planning to on-site management and post-event evaluation. This role is Hybrid in NY, NJ and CT with 2 days a week in the office. Requirements - Manage event onsite, including coordinating with speakers, managing event staff, overseeing event setup and teardown, and resolving any issues or emergencies
- Create and implement comprehensive event operation plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources allocation, for each event
- Coordinate all phases of event logistics through detailed communication including, but not limited to, food and beverage, meeting room lay-out, room list, transportation, AV equipment rental, event registration, on-site execution etc.
- Mentor and motivate team by providing training and coaching as needed
- Travel nationally throughout the year
- Work with vendors to order and receive supplies and services for food, beverages, supplies, equipment, and other necessary items
- Create, monitor and manage event timelines on Airtable
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to produce event collateral, materials, client requirements and follow-up activities
- Build and maintain relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organizations
Skills and Qualifications - Ability to travel
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in event operations management, preferably in the conference industry
- Self-starter, extremely organized and detailed-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Must be proactive and have the ability to work under pressure
- Balance and prioritize multiple deadlines at once
- Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills
- Competency with event management software and technology, and familiar with event registration platforms, CRM systems, and other relevant tools
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, vendors, and partners
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Canva
- Experience with Airtable
- Experience with CVENT
- Experience with Alchemer
- Experience with Adalo
- Prior experience working with group catering/hospitality at any one of the major hotel brands
- 1-2 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry (Internship experience qualifies)
