ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is a growing PR & Advertising Agency in Washington, DC. This is a confidential request but the client's name will be released to upon request or to those that are selected for an initial phone screening.

All team members are currently working remotely during COVID-19 but may be expected to return to the office for monthly client meetings once there is a resolve.

ABOUT THE SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER ROLE

If you are looking for an opportunity to put your graphic design expertise and project management skills to the test, you might be interested in joining our growing team!

This is a brand new position with the company and requires a lot of flexibility. The Senior Graphic Designer is a self-starter that will independently work on high volume design projects with short and long-term deadlines for our state and federal government clients.

The Sr. Graphic Designer will collaborate with the Digital Director and Account Executives to enhance and create graphic design across a wide range of mediums, including the web, print, email, and social media based on the clients’ needs. Another critical role is to offer expert design solutions that tell powerful and engaging stories.

Projects are usually centered around social media graphics and print collateral. Typically, a designer will need to create multiple social media graphics for a one week or two week period that would require multiple sizes for the various platforms. The print collateral development is usually tied to a media buy so the designer will need to develop full-page print ads, transit shelters, bus kings, digital ads, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage organization-wide graphic design needs and balance varying deadlines

  • Maintain and update design guidelines and organizational brand standards

  • Conceptualize and develop new creative concepts, graphics and layouts

  • Serve as project manager for all publications and digital media library

  • Design and update templates for print publications, ads, collateral, presentations, event materials and more

  • Develop and edit graphics for the web, including website banner art, digital advertising and images for our social media channels and email newsletters

  • Create infographics that transform data into digestible and shareable bites of information

  • Identify new photo needs and direct photoshoots

  • Edit and design changes to infographics, charts and graphs and photography using Photoshop

  • Work directly with printers and other vendors, and go on press checks as needed

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams

  • Manage freelancers on additional design projects

  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies

  • Assist and contribute to other related areas of interest, including video editing and animation
