The Global People team are mainly based in Ireland; therefore, this person must be able to work independently with responsibility for the AMER region. This role will support multiple business areas across a vast range of general HR activities with a strong focus on talent acquisition (both in AMER and globally). Other tasks may involve employee relations, engagement, implementation of projects, HR admin/operations, benefits, and execution of programs. The role will be to work on a variety of multi-disciplinary programmes and projects and ensure appropriate delivery into respective business areas and regional markets.

Requirements

  • Coach and empower leaders regarding HR issues/challenges
  • Develop, review, and implement policies, procedures, and programmes necessary to ensure key stakeholder engagement, performance whilst ensuring compliance
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team (primarily based in Ireland) in relation to all recruitment activities including candidate screening and interviewing, contracts, onboarding, global mobility, graduate recruitment and internal relocation or secondment activities
  • Lead and support employee engagement initiatives, onboarding activities and talent development programmes, with the support of the Facilities, IT and Training teams
  • Monitor HR metrics and performance indicators and take appropriate action
  • Manage and support the delivery of specific business focused HR projects
  • Provide coaching and advise to managers on a full range of effective HR services, including performance management, salary review, bonus processes, HR Systems, and administration
  • Manage and administer the payroll and benefit programs across the Americas region
  • Support the central team with our HRIS
  • Manage the visa application process for all team members in region
  • In conjunction with the relevant manager, handle routine employee relations issues including grievance and disciplinary issues, ensuring all cases are addressed and resolved in a timely manner, following best practice. Advise on emerging issues and with agreement, take action.
  • Lead the HR set up of new markets in region as required
  • Work closely with the People Business Partners to support the relevant teams


Experience

  • 3-7 years relevant experience working as a HR Generalist in a global tech/fintech organization in the AMER region
  • Previous experience supporting multiple US states inclusive of New York, Florida, Massachusetts, California, and Canada
  • Talent Acquisition experience including screening, interviewing, assessing, sourcing, nurturing, and supporting candidates in a 360 recruitment process
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships across the business
  • Understand business operations and how HR initiatives and practices can better support the ongoing success of the business
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support, communicate and influence across all parts of the organization, including with remote teams
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, diverse global organisation
  • Willingness to travel when required (both nationally and globally)
  • Ability to work flexible when required before and after usual business hours in order to collaborate with the global team (HQ in Ireland)
