HR Generalists have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to on boarding and from employee compensation to evaluation. If you have a passion for HR, are familiar with labor law and look to kick-start your career in the field, this is the place to be. Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing training, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You’ll act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.



Responsibilities:

? Administers HR programs, policies, practices and processes

? Provides day-to-day Human Resources support and partnering to all managers

? Documents current compensation processes and policies.

? Maintain employee personnel records.

? Educates and counsels employees to make them aware of and understand company benefits, compensation, and incentive plans.

? Assists in the facilitation of the performance management/performance appraisal process

? Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.

? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.

? Provides guidance to managers in support of employee career development & planning.

? Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.

? Respond to human resources-related inquiries.

? Assist with payroll processing.

? Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.

? Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.

? Develop and maintain talent management processes.

? Monitor employee morale and company culture.

? Identify future staffing needs.

? Works closely with recruitment team to streamline the staffing process by helping to draft job descriptions and by participating in the team member selection process when required.

? Evaluates new and existing positions by analyzing position duties and responsibilities to determine appropriate classification and salary levels; conducts desk audits and facilitates the re-classification process as necessary.

? Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.

? Consults with departments and field managers on employee terminations.

? Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.

? Ensures compliance with State and Federal reporting (EEO-1, OSHA 300 log, AAP, OFCCP)

? Maintains current knowledge of HR-related laws, legislation, and trends. (Ex: FMLA, ADA, HIPPA Health Care Reform)

? Participates in salary surveys, and analyzes data from survey sources to determine competitiveness both internally and externally

? Designs and prepares ad hoc compensation and budget related reports for management.

? Other duties as determined by Senior Manager or Human Resources Director



Qualifications/Skills:

? Bachelor’s-level degree from accredited college or university (Human Resources field preferred)

? Strong understanding and working knowledge of Human Resources administrative policies, procedures, regulations and State/Federal legislation

? Understanding of state and federal employment regulations

? Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance

? Understanding of personnel and compliance records management

? Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attentive to detail

? Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities

? Ability to maintain confidentiality

? Strong project management skills; the ability to organize, set and manage priorities and meet competing deadlines

? Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

? Strong follow-through skills and ability to be the driving force behind the completion of multiple projects

? Bilingual English/Korean is a must



Education and Experience Requirements:

? Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field

? 3+ years human resources experience

? Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)

? aPHR or PHR certification preferred
