MMB UK are recruiting for a
Client Director
to be based in their London or Chichester office



What can you expect?



This position is for a recognized expert in Client Relationship Management, who manages large projects or processes, and is responsible for maintaining and growing a book of large corporate accounts, manages research efforts to target areas for expansion and for custom solution opportunities and handle escalated account issues.

We will count on you to:


Responsible for maintaining and expanding a book of large corporate accounts across various industries or specialties.

Develops the sales strategy for managed accounts leveraging an in-depth understanding of client needs, market trends and internal product or service offerings.

Deep understanding of broader Marsh McLennan (MMC) relationships across portfolio

Management of relationship across all of Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) services including Darwin local.

Manages research efforts and analyses on relevant markets and industries to identify potential relationship needs, target new buyer hubs and ultimately target areas to expand personal client director portfolio

Responsible for developing project plans, leveraging knowledge of team and personal technical and professional capabilities, strategizing feasible timelines and work expectations to deliver products and solutions efficiently and successfully to clients.

Addresses escalated issues in a timely and effective manner and works to ensure relationships are in positive standing and delivering on promised timelines and outcomes.

Actively engages and nourishes relationships and professional networks within client organizations.

Attends and participates in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company.

Responsible for coaching and mentoring colleagues in region around growth, specifically within assigned consulting team.

Act as a growth leader and role model to other colleagues.

Ensure client delivery team are delivering high standards to your own client director portfolio through monitoring and regular catch-ups.

Accountable for delivery of personal and client director team financial targets.

Design and execute strategy for new business generation based upon own client director portfolio.

Work with Regional Consulting Leaders to ensure local strategies are in place to deliver revenue growth.

Generate sales by expanding revenues from client director portfolio.

Accountable for personal and client director team sales goals.

Accountable for client profitability and managing of budgets, and oversight of ongoing invoicing.

Cross-sell other Mercer and MMC products and services to own clients.

Support Consulting Team Leader aligned team in broader growth opportunities.

Ensures that the client team are fully compliant with sales processes.

Takes overall responsibly for personal and client team pipeline adequacy and accuracy.

Actively Champions Mercerforce usage across the region ensuring full compliance.

Active in the local markets with business groups: CBI, IOD, CoC, BITC etc.


What you need to have:


Degree level or equivalent

Excellent selling and sales strategy skills, including the ability to identify and close opportunities.

Ability to structure and deliver integrated offers and sell value.

Proven experience in building and developing senior client relationships.

Experience in development, negotiation and administration of longer-term strategic contracts.

Successful business to business sales experience (professional services preferred). Demonstrated by the ability to interact at the most senior levels of a client organization.

Renowned expertise and industry reputation in the health & benefits field

Ability to lead and motivate others, particularly in a sales driven environment with a strong track record of delivery

Ability to meet the technical requirements for grade and pillar in line with MMB technical competencies and role profiling forms.

Very strong negotiation and communications skills (written, verbal and presentation skills).

Significant financial and commercial acumen

Ability to engage in client-focused critical thinking.
