Job Description

The role of a Senior Systems Engineer at Clinicomp is to provide all of the necessary IT infrastructure planning, coordination, implementation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance support functions for the various enterprise, customer, cross-functional team, applications, servers and network-related systems. This is a pivotal technology position with wide-ranging responsibilities and direct impacts across the companys internal and customer systems. As such, it is critical to the success of the business.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining highly available, reliable, scalable and secure technology solutions.
  • Identifying customer needs and providing excellent technical support service.
  • Active Directory, GPOs, Windows 2012R2 - 2022, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Integrating Active Directory and open-source authentication and access control solutions.
  • Implementing and supporting enterprise networking. Familiarity with enterprise-grade network switches and wireless access points is a plus.
  • Firewalls and network segmentation. Palo Alto Networks is a plus.
  • Blade Server technologies. HPE Blade Systems is a plus.
  • Centralized storage technologies. HPE MSA and GlusterFS are a plus.
  • Experience supporting public and private wireless solutions.
  • Integrating with cloud computing platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Cloud-based mail and productivity solutions Microsoft 365.
  • Solid understanding of transport protocols, routing protocols, and security/authentication protocols at all layers of the OSI model with emphasis on TCP/IP is essential.
  • Implementing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Support of VoIP and Telephony solutions, a plus.
  • Experience with performance tuning, monitoring systems, and statistics/metrics collection.


Minimum Qualifications

  • AA degree in CS/IT and 5 years relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD ADP and VA High Risk Background clearance required, and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting languages
  • Knowledge of Azure/Office 365 cloud services
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and services including network stack, security appliances, VOIP, Active Directory and mail servers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related technical field. Industry experience. Familiarity with Department of Defense security requirements and IAVM patching procedures.

Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is $110,914 - $135,298.

CliniComp's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, location and relevant education or training.
