Cuberg, a Northvolt company, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their team in Silicon Valley. The company is at the forefront of next-generation battery technology, providing innovative solutions for sustainable and high-quality battery cells and systems to power electric mobility. Their groundbreaking lithium metal battery delivers generational improvements in energy density and power output, making it a key player in the next generation of electric vehicles in the ground and air. As an Industrial Engineer for Cuberg, you will be responsible for helping to develop and scale the manufacturing process of this cutting-edge technology.


Responsibilities

  • Determine and implement efficient manufacturing processes for the development of lithium metal batteries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute manufacturing strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen quality standards
  • Optimize production processes through process analysis, planning, and control
  • Develop and maintain production documentation, procedures, and guidelines
  • Create and implement training programs for production staff to ensure the highest level of quality and consistency
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve production yield and optimize product output
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce costs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques
  • Experience with production line design, process optimization, and workflow improvement
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in process simulation and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Visio)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

The San Francisco / Bay Area cash compensation (base + bonus) range for this full-time position is $127,000 - $157,000 + equity + benefits.
