Senior Manager Quality Control HybridRemote Location: US-MD-Bethesda Email this job to a friend

GRF CPAs & Advisors is seeking a Quality Control Senior Manager. The performance of someone is this position is judged based on the quality of work, application of auditing and accounting knowledge, ability to meet time constraints, the quality of client relations and communications/influencing skills. A hybrid work environment is preferred with potential in person office meetings once per quarter or as deemed necessary. Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid)(Remote)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Pre-issuance review of financial statements and audit documentation.
- Consult with partners, staff, and clients on financial accounting and auditing matters.
- Review firm's systems and specific engagements in the annual internal inspection.
- Assist in performing internal peer review services and compliance reviews.
- Lead in the implementation of new audit and accounting standards.
- Interface with the Firm's peer reviewers and other inspectors.
- Participate in training.
- Research and present topics for internal CPE seminars.
- Maintain audit templates and documents.
Other Functions:
- Prepare reports and projects as requested by managers or partners.
- Such other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 10-15 years of experience in a combination of audit practice and quality review in a public accounting setting, with no less than 3 years in quality control.
- Preferred experience with Not-for-profits, Audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance and Government Auditing Standards, International NGOs, Employee Benefit Plans, Commercial and Government Contractors.
- Knowledge of Caseware/Caseview is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proficient in Video Conferencing applications including Teams.
Demonstrated Skill, Ability and Licensure Requirements: - Licensed CPA.
- Proficiency with computer spreadsheet software and calculator.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm and client information.
- Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple offices and with virtual teammates and build strong relationships remotely.
- A results-oriented mindset with the ability to be decisive and impartial.
- Ability to "think on your feet" to problem solve issues.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including data management and manipulation capabilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality in interactions.
