This company is designing and producing recreational vehicles powered entirely by electricity. With the growing shift towards all-electric transportation, they are striving to offer enhanced convenience and superior performance to the over 11 million American families.

They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience designing and developing vehicle interior components, mechanisms or furniture.

Requirements

Core responsibilities

• Mechanical design from concept through prototyping to production for vehicle interior fittings, seating and convertible bed systems, and interior trim.
• Manage design data and documentation for subsystem content at RFQ, prototyping, and production.
• Supplier selection and communication for vehicle interior components, mechanisms and furniture through design for manufacturing, prototyping and production phases.
• Component and subsystem level testing for design validation and specify opportunities for improvement.
• Support system and vehicle level testing as needed.

Required

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing RV or vehicle interior components while working with cutting edge construction and materials
• Experience with 3D CAD, preferably Catia 3DX
• Knowledge of sustainable design and engineering principles is preferred
