DGR Systems, a growing premier technology consulting company, is actively seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer experienced in the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise networks to join our highly competent team. The Senior Network Security Engineer will take on a leadership role in designing and implementing cutting-edge enterprise networks while providing crucial support to our networking and security practice. This is a client-facing role where the person would play both a pre-/post-sales role while performing as a technology professional.

This position requires a highly motivated individual, is a self-starter, and is team focused. The right individual has an in-depth knowledge of technical solutions and how they are deployed, is client-focused, and has excellent communication and presentation skills. You are an ideal candidate if you are leaning in on advanced networking concepts such as SD-WAN, SASE, and ZTNA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications such as the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for clients.
  • Provide network engineering consulting services, including assessment, design, and implementation of modern secure networking environments.
  • Troubleshoots LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, and VoIP equipment, including a broad range of devices (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Routing protocols (eBGP, iBGP, OSPF).
  • Develop and maintain technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation/test plans configuration templates and scripts.
  • Engage in peer review sessions to aid fellow engineers in optimizing the quality of their deliverables.
  • Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents.
  • Configure Fortinet firewall and security solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date industry certifications.

Requirements

  • Experience with Cisco and Fortinet products and devices
  • Fortinet NSE 4 or FCA Cyber Security certification required.
  • Fortinet NSE 5 or FCP Network Operations certification required.
  • Fortinet NSE 6 (FortiSwitch or Secure Wireless LAN) or FCP Network Security certifications strongly preferred.
  • Fortinet NSE 7 or FCSS Network Security certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN administration and concepts including DHCP, DNS, VLAN's, firewalls, NAT, wireless technology, and the ability to configure switches required.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining SD-WAN highly desired.
  • In-depth understanding of network engineering, security (endpoint and network firewall) architecture and design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to author and follow defined processes and procedures.
  • Ability to develop design documentation using Microsoft Visio.
  • Ability to architect, design and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN network solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying multi-site environments with VLAN, MPLS, SSL, IPSEC connection points.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to follow defined methodologies to ensure a successful outcome of delivery engagements.
  • Up-to-date understanding of modern security threats and defense methods.
  • Able to clearly communicate detailed technical concepts in both oral and written formats.
  • Thorough understanding of modern routing and switching technologies including cloud networking concepts.
  • Proven track record in guiding clients through the evaluation and selection of technical solutions to address business requirements in a consultative manner.
