We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our leading capital markets FinTech.

Sharegain began with one question: If the largest institutions solely exercise the right to lend their stocks, bonds, and ETFs, what would it take to unlock this revenue opportunity for every investor?

Our team of experts in London, Tel Aviv and New York built the solution: a platform that empowers online brokers, private banks, and wealth managers to offer securities lending to their clients and customers. We call it SLaaS: Securities Lending as a Service. Its a fully digital, customizable, end-to-end solution that automates front- and back-office operations. Institutions and investors are now free to earn more from what they own.

Every Sharegainer has their own backstory, but we all share an ambition to do things differently bigger, better, and greater. Together were on a mission to democratize capital markets by building a more liquid world. The more we share, the more we all gain.

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will have a proficient understanding of the securities lending market, in addition to being confident in understanding, mapping, and working with evolving processes both independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be expected to identify and build new and automated processes, work closely with Research & Development teams, and supervise and manage daily operations responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the mapping and implementation of cash collateral management on a bespoke basis for the needs of each client
  • Create bespoke client solutions that meet the requirements of the SEC customer protection rules regarding collateral segregation
  • Manage the operations of the US office: a rapidly growing broker dealer
  • Work in a global environment across a team that serves lenders located in several countries, lends securities from 40 different countries, and accepts a growing range of collateral

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience within Securities Lending Operations
  • A thorough understanding of the operations underlying the movement of cash and non-cash collateral in the United States
  • Ability to work within a global team across a broad range of clients, securities, and forms of collateral
  • FINRA series SIE, 99 and 24 (preferable not essential)
  • A clean FINRA record with no disclosures
  • A working knowledge of the legal issues affecting cross border loans of securities, including the tax treatment of substitute payments, the implications of the various methods of holding collateral and the legal issues affecting loans effected by different client groups
  • An understanding of the operational structure of online brokers, clearing brokers, investment managers and wealth managers
  • Proficient experience with the below:
    • Client Services / Client Reporting
    • Trade Support / Settlements
    • Reconciliations (Pirum exposure a distinct advantage)
    • Exposure Management (including Triparty)
    • KYC/Client onboarding
    • Corporate Action/Dividend processing
    • Performance, Risk Management and Reporting
    • Custody oversight
    • Global Fixed Income and/or Equity support experience essential
    • Project management and process improvement

Additional Skills

  • Accountability and risk management: you will necessitate the ownership of tasks, and lead of others
  • As the business grows, you will be responsible for the growth and change in Operational functions, and will work closely with the senior management team on strategy and priority
  • The ability to demonstrate and apply initiative and problem solve on your own is imperative, as your contribution to the business evolution will be essential
  • As a Sharegain employee:
    • You take the time to support the personal growth of your reports and colleagues
    • You are strong-minded, open, collaborative, and enjoy both giving, and receiving constant feedback
    • You are a self-driven individual with humility, integrity, and a positive attitude who feels comfortable working both as an individual contributor and managing a growing team.

This role is only open to holders of US green cards and citizens

Sharegain is an equal opportunity employer. Employees and contractors, as well as prospective employees and contractors, will all be treated equally and fairly. We are passionate in our belief that a diverse workforce is central to our success, and we are proud to reflect this within our recruiting processes.
