Steri-Tek is dedicated to providing a high-quality sterilization service and superior customer service to the industries that it serves.
This is a dual responsibility role. As an Operator you will be processing customer product including loading and unloading the conveyor, setting up the job in PTMS, reading dosimeters, and cross-verifying that fellow operators are following all procedures. Additionally, as a Technician, you will be a resource for the maintenance/servicing of the linear accelerator systems.
ROLE 1 Operator
OPERATE LINEAR ACCELERATOR
- Perform start-up of the linear accelerator(s) each day and prepare them for the processing of customer product.
- Prepare all aspects of the linear accelerator system to process customer products to the required sterility assurance level.
- Load product boxes, per the appropriate processing specification, onto totes for processing and unload product boxes upon completion.
SPECTROPHOTOMETER USE
- Use a spectrophotometer on a regular basis. Calibrate and maintain calibration records.
- Correctly read dosimeters using the spectrophotometer.
- Calibrate spectrophotometer on a periodic basis.
PREPARE PROCESS REPORTS AND RELATED JOB RECORDS
Complete all required processing documentation in adherence with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Complete all required information in the Job Record.
- Identify, segregate, and notify manager of any Product or Process Non-Conformance.
ROLE 2 Linear Accelerator Maintenance
- Maintain a fundamental understanding on irradiation equipment & processes.
- Maintain a basic level of knowledge of Quality System Requirements (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820).
- Assist in maintaining comprehensive records of servicing and maintenance for the accelerator systems and any ancillary equipment.
- Assist in investigations (QMS/Validations) by providing technical data and insights related to the linear accelerator processes.
- Communicate with the head of Maintenance, the Director of Operations, and suppliers and execute maintenance activities with guidance from the head of Maintenance, suppliers, and internal procedures.
- Assist in assigned tasks related to the linear accelerator maintenance.
- Assist in evaluating and troubleshooting daily maintenance issues.
- Follow company safety procedures including Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in English language (written and spoken)
- Basic mechanical and electrical proficiency required to work on linear accelerator equipment.
- Basic data evaluation skillset
- Basic computer skills
- Medical Device industry experience 3-5 years
- Technical Maintenance Experience 3-5 years
- Radiation Sterilization (contract or in-house) Operations/Engineering/Validations 3-5 years

Pay rate range: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Steri-Tek offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, 401k matching, and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year.
