Who are we?

Qgiv exists to help people fulfill their passion to make a difference. Founded in 2007, Qgiv now provides thoughtfully-designed, user-friendly fundraising software to more than 6,500 nonprofits in the US and Canada. Nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement, Humane Societies, and more use Qgivs online fundraising tools to delight donors and raise funds for their missions.

Were guided by our core values: empathy, introspection, honesty + integrity, persistence, openness, respect, and passion. We work hard to meet deadlines and goals, but we also take time to celebrate and have fun! In the office, we enjoy game nights, potlucks, costumes, office decorating competitions, a monthly birthday cake, and more free snacks and beverages than should be allowed. For those remote, we stay connected through video and Slack, weekly coffee talks, and virtual Town Hall meetings.

We strive to create a workplace culture in which individuals can be their authentic selves while working towards our company mission. We dont search for perfect candidates; we look for candidates that are invested in helping us improve while also improving themselves.

About the Opportunity

At Qgiv, we're passionate about providing fundraising software solutions that help nonprofit organizations raise more money and save time. We're seeking a talented Senior Pricing Lead who shares our passion for helping nonprofits and who is skilled
in developing and executing pricing strategies that maximize revenue for our software solutions. As a Senior Pricing Lead, you'll be responsible for leading the pricing strategy for our product portfolio, and driving revenue growth through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies for new and existing products based on willingness to pay, feature wants and needs, and market trends through the use of conjoint and monadic survey techniques.
  • Conduct pricing analysis and provide recommendations on pricing decisions, including through the calculation of pricing elasticities, demand curves and break even analyses.
  • Lead cross-functional pricing initiatives, partnering with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Finance.
  • Drive the development and maintenance of pricing models to forecast the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profit.
  • Monitor pricing performance and develop pricing dashboards to track key metrics.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing trends and opportunities.
  • Develop pricing policies and procedures, and lead the implementation of pricing changes across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry pricing trends and best practices.

Obstacles and Actions:

As a Senior Pricing Lead at Qgiv, you may encounter obstacles along the way. Here are some potential challenges you may face and the actions you can take to overcome them:

  • Limited Data Availability: You may face challenges in gathering sufficient data to make informed pricing decisions. To overcome this obstacle, you can work with cross-functional teams to gather data from multiple sources, conduct customer surveys and analysis, and use industry benchmarks and third-party data sources to fill in data gaps.
  • Resistance to Pricing Changes: You may encounter resistance from customers, sales teams, or other stakeholders when proposing pricing changes. To overcome this obstacle, you can use data and research to support your pricing decisions and communicate the value proposition of the pricing changes to the stakeholders.
  • Competitor Pricing Pressure: You may face pressure from competitors who offer similar software solutions at lower prices. To overcome this obstacle, you can conduct competitive analysis, identify unique value propositions that differentiate Qgiv's solutions from competitors, and use pricing promotions and incentives to compete effectively.
  • Internal Processes: You may encounter internal process-related issues that delay the pricing decision-making process. To overcome this obstacle, you can streamline internal processes, prioritize pricing decisions, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely pricing decisions.

Results

  • Repeatable, data backed models that demonstrate product feature value vs. willingness to pay that can help drive feature bundling decisions for each main product line.
  • Functional demand curves for each product that can help drive decision making.
  • Maintainable and scalable process to evaluate ongoing changes in the market for both existing models and potential new products/features.
  • Increase in Net Revenue Retention of 5% from current and historical baselines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in pricing analysis and strategy development, with at least 3 years of experience leading pricing initiatives.
  • Experience in SaaS pricing models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets and regression analysis.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of pricing analysts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
