Senior Principal Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Deliver best-in-class products and IP solutions that address customers’ various bandwidth, power, cost, security, reliability, and end-to-end signal integrity requirements. Position duties include: Responsible for FEC microarchitecture study and implementation including FEC IP maintenance and debugging; Responsible for PAM4 and coherent DSP microarchitecture and implementation; Design high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs using design fundamentals, including: detailed transistor level circuit design, device physics, and control loop stability analysis; High Speed transceiver (>10GHz) design including ADC/DACs (Analog to Digital Converter/Digital to Analog Converter) and clock generation; Confer with engineers, customers, and others as necessary to discuss existing engineering projects or products or plan for potential projects; Perform managerial duties as a technical leader for all engineering team members including supervising and training engineer 2-5 Electrical Engineer team members; and Oversee project production efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Salary range of $185,000 - $265,000/year.

Perform above duties using tools and technologies including, but not limited to:
1) CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) and other device technologies from Credo’s foundries such as TSMC. CMOS is a metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor
(MOSFET) fabrication process that uses complementary and symmetrical pairs of p-type and n-type MOSFETs. EDA (Electronic Design Automation) CAD (Computer-aided design) tools
such as Cadence. High speed measurement equipment such as BERT (bit error ratio tester); and 2) Spectrum analyzer tools used to measure the power of known and unknown signals of
Credo product designs to understand how frequency, amplitude, and modulation parameters behave over short and long intervals of time.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in (foreign equivalent accepted) Electrical Engineering or a closely related field and (3) years of experience in any Electrical Engineering related role including: Developing development of PAM (pulse amplitude modulation) and coherent
DSP (digital signal processor) products; Designing high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs using design fundamentals, including: detailed transistor level circuit design, device
physics, and control loop stability analysis in submicron (16nm and below) CMOS processes; Working with High Speed transceiver (>10GHz) design, specifically in ADC/DACs and clock
generation and distribution; Responsible for system level implementation of RX analog macro as RX Macro lead as well as lab bring-up of designs; Mentoring or supervising engineering
team members; and Collaborating with Marketing team on analog products and cross-functional collaborations with internal engineering design teams.
