Dollar General is hiring for a 7-month contractor with potential to extend or hire on full time for their HCM and Payroll Applications team The last several hires we have had with Dollar General all come from a heavy retail background Looking for a strong Product Owner in the retail space, with preferable HCM and Payroll applications such as Lawson S3 HR.

This will move FAST we have 5 days until they close the first round of applications.

Position Title: Sr. Product Owner HCM/Payroll Applications

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: long term contract

Rate: 65/hr. C2C

Salary: 130-135k

Interview: one video interview

Background: client run background check

Citizenship Status: USC and Green card

Required Tech/Experience (Manager won't consider candidates without the following):

  1. Product Owner for Human Capital and Payroll Applications
  2. Delivering solutions around HCM applications (Lawson S3 HR is HIGHLY preferred)
  3. Product Owner Certifications (Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner Certification)
  4. Retail Industry Experience

Typical Day to Day (Tasks & Responsibilities): The Senior Product Owner anticipates or sees gaps in other teams and offers assistance until those gaps can be filled. They represent business needs and priorities, prioritize and manage the product backlog, recommend developers for backlog items based on knowledge of the developer's experience, and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement. The Senior Product Owner is accountable for the delivery of business outcomes for multiple high, or one or more products of the greatest complexity.

PURPOSE

The Senior Product Owner serves {functional area} as the

voice of the customer to guide development teams in building software

capabilities with the highest business and customer impact. They have a mastery

in PO practices as well as the applications they support, and actively

investigate and train others in ways to improve practices at DG. The Senior

Product Owner anticipates or sees gaps in other teams and offers assistance

until those gaps can be filled. They represent business needs and priorities,

prioritize and manage the product backlog, recommend developers for backlog

items based on knowledge of the developer's experience, and incorporate

feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product

improvement. The Senior Product Owner is accountable for the delivery of

business outcomes for multiple high, or one or more products of the greatest

complexity.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in IT, Retail technology
  • 7+ years of software delivery experience related to Human Capital Management and Payroll applications
  • 5+ years in diverse roles and increasing responsibilities across business and IT CSPO roles desirable
  • 5+ years working in or with Agile software delivery teams using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Preferred--5+ years' experience working with Lawson S3 HR and Payroll application
  • Applicable Product Owner certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner Certification)

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience
