Independently develop and maintain achievable, resource loaded, logic driven project schedules that integrate Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Start-up and/or Operations work scope into a total project plan that meets the projects delivery objectives, including:

  • Long-term summary level plans that support development of effective execution strategies.
  • Mid-range tactical delivery plans that support interdisciplinary coordination within an effective planning horizon.
  • Near-term detailed work plans that support task level planning and day-to-day workface coordination.
  • Maintain the current schedule for assigned area of the project that provides accurate and reliable status and forecast information to the project execution team.
  • Ensure assigned areas of the project schedule meet established requirements for compliance with the Projects Certified EVMS and applicable processes and procedures, including use of mandatory code field parameters, resource dictionaries and calendar settings, and maintaining configuration control of the baseline schedule, WBS, and WBS Dictionary in accordance with the authorized scope of work.
  • Produce both routine and special purpose schedule reports and associated analysis, including:
  • Progress, performance, and variance analysis reports.
  • Critical path, near-critical path, logic network and float analysis reports.
  • Schedule data quality and integrity analysis using both manual processes and packaged software applications common in the industry.
  • Quantity release, delivery, and installation curves.
  • Craft and non-manual staffing curves.
  • Support schedule risk analysis and promote understanding of schedule risk exposure using a combination of management judgment and results from Monte Carlo risk analysis software.
  • Lead the development and review of schedule improvement and/or recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans, and recommending alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Heavy P6 experience required.
  • Large Line Items experience required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, LEAN, or other process control and improvement techniques.
  • Knowledge of or experience with project controls practices and principles, including work breakdown structure development, duration management, schedule logic and dependencies, critical path analysis, change control, cost engineering, estimating, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), status reporting, and what-if analysis.
  • Should understand basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, Primavera, cost planning, and financial management software is preferred.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
