Title: Senior Project Manager - Cybersecurity

Location: Raleigh NC (Hybrid 2 days on site a week)

Type: 12 Month Contract (Potential to Convert)


Security focused PM need:



  • Needs GRC experience - managing implementation projects and general knowledge of (one of the 1st projects will be managing our GRC implementation)

  • Agile - Experience as a hands on Scrum Master Required

  • Banking or Finanical Services Experience Required

  • 5+ Years of Formal Project Management




    • Strong fundamental PM skillset and a leader - can drive an Archer program forward independently and able to work across teams

    • Comfortable with Agile and Waterfall approaches and has managed both

    • Great communicator and meeting facilitator

    • Effective at building strong project teams and pushing projects forward

    • Attention to detail, clear and accurate documentation and status updates

    • Vendor selection experience and working with vendors

    • Comfortable working with multiple teams on projects




  • Comfortable with Change. Ability to drive a project/program forward while there is organizational change

  • Comfortable with Jira and MS Project

  • Nice to Have - Cybersecurity Project Experience


Responsibilities:



  • Review project proposals or plans to determine a time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and the assignment of available departmental resources to various project phases.

  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.

  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline a work plan.

  • Act as a coach to junior project managers, executives and others who need assistance and advice regarding project management practices.

  • Establish a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

  • Analyze project proposals to determine a time frame, funding limitations and appropriate processes for accomplishing projects.

  • Review/approve the work plan of an external service provider or consultancy contracted to execute the project.

  • Implement a project communication plan.

  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation.

  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the organization.

  • Ensure that project goals are in line with business objectives.

  • Ensure that project goals are achieved.

  • Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel and define the scope of their authority.

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.

  • Tracks the progress of the current project assignments and reports the status to all stakeholders based on a predetermined communication strategy. Develop and deliver project status information, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, sponsors, CIO, and key stakeholders. As soon as discovered, reports problems with the project to the appropriate stakeholders, including but not limited to resource availability, budget changes, schedule changes, missed milestones/deliverables, scope creep, quality, etc.

  • Adheres to adopted project management methodologies, standards, tools, and techniques.
