Cuberg is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer, Battery Cell to join their team within Northvolt's Advanced Technology Center in Silicon Valley. As a part of Northvolt, Cuberg is at the forefront of next-generation battery technology, developing and commercializing high-performing lithium metal batteries for electric vehicles and aviation. The Senior Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring that the company's battery products meet both internal and external quality standards, contributing to the company's mission to power the future of electric mobility. Responsibilities - Develop and implement quality assurance processes for battery cell manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and operations, to monitor product quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead investigations into quality issues, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics, reporting data to management and recommending areas for improvement.
- Participate in supplier qualification and monitoring programs, working closely with external suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry quality standards and regulations.
- Lead quality audits and inspections of the battery cell manufacturing process, from raw materials to final product.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in quality assurance within the battery cell or related industry.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Experience with statistical process control and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with battery cell manufacturing and testing processes.
- Knowledge of lithium-ion and/or lithium metal battery technology preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

The San Francisco / Bay Area base salary range for this full time position is $125,000 - $180,000 + equity + benefits. Base salary is based on years of experience
