Autonomous vehicles will drive millions of kilometers in the virtual world before the first driverless cars hit the road. ANSYS is building the simulation software toolchain to demonstrate safety in the virtual world prior to commercial deployment.


As part of its development, ANSYS is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer. Integrated within a team of developers, you participate in the development of architecture and infrastructure of our product. This mainly covers functionalities such as the integration of physical headlamp simulations, and virtual worlds, as well as live interoperability with external softwares in a scalable simulation platform.

Your skills in software development, your knowledge of best practices, your taste for quality code, readable, well documented and systematically tested, will find a great space to express yourself.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be to:
Develop our AVxcelerate Headlamp simulation SW product in collaboration with your team.
Participate in design specification, work breakdown and backlog effort estimation.
Develop automated tests
Participate in the writing of technical documentation.
Demonstrate the work of the team.
Collaborate with the teams dedicated to product quality, software documentation and customer support.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

You are a graduate from an engineering school or university with a master's degree with software engineering skills with at least 3 years of work experience in SW products development in industrial context.
You have solid experience in C# programming for multithreading applications with good knowledge of best practices (Design Patterns, SOLID principles, Unit Tests, Mocks...).
You have already used code versioning software, ticketing systems (Git, Azure Devops...) and dependency management systems (NuGet...), basics of DevOps, CI/CD
You have at least basic experience in Matlab / Simulink
Knowledge of LINUX environments.
As the position is in an international context, a good level of English


PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Scientific background with knowledge of driving simulation software or sensors / light propagation / 3D modelling & rendering technologies is a strong advantage.
Is a plus: knowledge of data exchange protocols (Protobuf, gRPC, JSON, or equivalent...).
Is a plus: WPF or other frontend knowledge
Is a plus: knowledge of asynchronism, inter-process and inter-machine communication.
