We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Norstella, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze revenue streams, implement processes, and support our organizational goals. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, such as ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of revenue streams, contracts, and customer agreements to determine appropriate recognition and accounting treatment.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, and operational teams to review and assess the impact of complex and non-standard contracts on revenue recognition.
  • Develop and implement revenue recognition policies, procedures, and controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on revenue recognition matters, providing guidance and training to cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and legal.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits to ensure compliance and provide necessary documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving accounting standards, regulations, and best practices related to revenue recognition and proactively assess their impact on the organization.
  • Utilize Netsuite and other relevant technology platforms to support revenue recognition processes and financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management, highlighting key findings and insights related to revenue recognition.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in revenue recognition, accounting, or finance roles.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Proficient in using Netsuite or similar ERP systems for revenue recognition and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contracts and financial data.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to evolving business needs and changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $105,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
