I. Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Solutions Architect to join our growing SBS Digital Transformation team in Windsor, CT. We
are transforming our business using Salesforce at the core we need seasoned Salesforce Developers to help build out our solution and
develop our internal Salesforce capabilities. Must be willing to work in a fast paced, people supportive environment with a dynamic
team enjoying the fun and benefits of building successful & effective business applications
The successful candidate must be able to work directly with stakeholders to design highly usable, scalable, extensible, and
maintainable Salesforce solutions and technologies. These technologies include--but are not necessarily limited to (link removed)
products and APIs, Lightning, Apex, Mobile Applications, and integration/ETL technologies. A Solution Architect will be expected to
maintain an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the SFDC ecosystem. They will be passionate about their work, self-motivated,
detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They will deal with highly ambiguous problems, take responsibility for
finding solutions, and will drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.
This is an exciting role for a Senior Salesforce Solutions Architect who will contribute to our technology solution as we advance into
emergent technologies and push the boundaries of software development techniques!
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.
Become a highly certified and recognized Salesforce expert
As a Solutions Architect, you will work directly with Program Managers to accelerate projects and recommend best-practice
architectures in line with long-term business outcomes
Create solutions, blueprints, and reference architectures that empower our Program Managers and maximize customer value
through using the breadth of the Salesforce solutions available to align and package the right solutions with the right business
problem
Work with Program Managers and Technical Architects to transform new requirements into (link removed) design and
implementation
Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states
Create application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices
Troubleshoot key implementation issues and demonstrate ability to drive to successful resolution
Responsible for Salesforce implementation including custom fields and processes. Works as a lead developer helping develop
solutions in Salesforce, Lightening and Apex code
Coordination of and execution of deployment activities for the team (on shore and offshore), and with an SI partner
Act as a go-to Salesforce expert for our organization providing Salesforce technical advice, design direction and leadership to all
team members to advance the project
Works with Scrum team, to plan and execute sprints; With the deployment and test teams to put together sprint releases from
across the teams with the highest quality
Works with Business Analysts and Architects to design solutions for business problems and requirements and implement in SFDC
Promote best practices for code and system management in line with Waste Management standards and practices
Understands aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities to be able to advise and work with the team
on impacts of changes
Apply change management processes for documenting, communicating, and testing code releases from Sandboxes to Production
environments
Manage communication with Salesforce to keep team informed on environmental changes, report bugs to Salesforce, and support
team information requests
Reviews systems under development and related documentation
Resolves customers' issues and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Contributes in advanced systems planning, scheduling and implementation.
Mentors and fosters growth of peers and team members
Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures
Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success. Serve as advocate for code
quality, delivery excellence.
Hold and maintain SFDC certifications in relevant areas, keeping up with changes in Salesforce and expanding expertise as
appropriate to career objectives
Continually seeks opportunities to increase product quality and customer satisfaction
Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
Provides application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis for defects.
Troubleshoots and resolves functional and performance related issues

III. Supervisory Responsibilities
Will coach and mentor less-experienced team members and act as team leader on systems projects ensuring all are trained and using
established WM governance and conventions

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar area of study. Five years of previous experience required. An
additional four years of related experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or MIS and five or more years of software development experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Valid, up to date Salesforce Administrator Certification, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Service
Cloud, Salesforce Lightning implementations/design experience
5 years of experience working with SFDC projects including screen development, Lightening code, Apex code, Bulk, SOAP and
Rest APIs
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Advanced knowledge or skills in one or more of the following is required:
Knowledge of project management/change management in regard to acquisition/development life cycles
Knowledge of enterprise coding standards
Proficient in Salesforce Lightning Platform and capabilities
Ability to learn new and emerging technologies
Ability to lead a group to consensus, solve problems, and accomplish tasks.
Ability to mentor and train less knowledgeable peers and individuals.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to change
General business knowledge and concepts
