GA-CCRi was founded in 1989 and is located in Charlottesville, VA. We are a growing affiliate of General Atomics with new locations opening this year in San Diego, CA and Lehi, UT in addition to sites already in full operational status. GA-CCRi provides custom software development and innovative information engineering solutions to customers in government and private industry.

This is a Senior Manager level position working out of our flagship downtown Charlottesville office. The Senior Security Manager must be capable of working closely with government and industry security counterparts, program management teams, and executives to ensure successful execution of GA-CCRi security activities. The Senior Security Manager provides management and oversight of multiple GA-CCRi locations supporting our Federal Portfolio Programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for managing the security programs and security efforts for the assigned affiliate which includes personnel, physical, operational, information, and administrative security.

Develops, implements, and manages the strategic and tactical planning for security consistent with security policies and procedures.

Maintains a proactive awareness of potential security issues as well as changes in security regulations and manages the development and implementation of preventative security standards, procedures, and programs to mitigate security issues and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Provides security consultation to management and establishes security business plans respective to corporate business objectives.

Promotes and communicates, as necessary, security policies/programs/issues with management and staff while representing the organization as the primary security contact with appropriate federal and local agencies.

Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate management and/or professional staff.

May be responsible for decisions that have an extended and significant impact on outcomes.

Requirements

Manage the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and programs.

Maintain awareness of new/changing laws/regulations and continually review and monitor the status of all security policies, procedures, and programs to ensure they are in compliance with appropriate regulations and meeting the needs of the organization.

Manage security activities for the assigned affiliate including internal and external audits and security awareness and training for employees.

Manage the investigation of security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Analyze loss control and accident reports.

Develop and present necessary documentation for management while communicating regularly with them on security issues and related investigations.

Develop, document, and implement quality measures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.

Plan and maintain the capital and operating security budgeting expenses.

Ensure incurred expenses are aligned with forecasted expenses and security practices.

Serve as the primary liaison between federal and local security agencies.

Establish procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor access to restricted areas, records, and materials.

Manage the preparation and maintenance of manuals outlining security regulations.

Plan, manage, and oversee contract security staffing or security systems services while managing security services as they relate to mechanical locks and document shredding.

May manage the coordination of security clearances and other security policies and procedures in accordance with the Department of Defense.

Manage the planning, recruitment, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required management and professional talent.

Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties as assigned or required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, and thirteen or more years progressive experience in security administration with at least seven of those years having management responsibilities.

Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Must have a TS/SCI clearance.

Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph.

Must have extensive expertise in the application of relevant security concepts and practices with a comprehensive knowledge of federal and local security regulations, 32 CFR Part 117, ICD(s), and current security operating procedures.

Must possess:

(1) extensive experience managing relationships with external security agencies, including DOD and various IC agencies.

(2) the ability to articulate and write in a clear and concise fashion, effectively address diverse audiences including executive management, and facilitate difficult discussions;

(3) strong leadership, interpersonal, and management skills with the ability to build and sustain a successful team; and

(4) the ability to interpret and explain complex issues.

(5) Must be able to work extended hours as necessary and travel as required.

Salary Range*: $125,810 - $229,670
