We are looking for a dynamic and creative Sr. Social Media Manager who will define our social media, content, and community management strategy across our owned social channels. The right candidate will possess a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and a consumer-centric mindset, as well as a genuine interest in health and fitness. This role will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the social media strategy, growing brand awareness, and increasing acquisition while ensuring engaging content that increases brand affinity.

Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the companys social media lead, responsible for strategy and content development across platforms, utilizing multiple sources (from creating content yourself to working with the creative team, third-party creators, UGC, and influencers)
  • Identify opportunities to grow the brand presence on social and provide strategic plans to activate new channels, develop influencer collaboration initiatives, and seasonal/evergreen campaigns that resonate with social
  • Create strategic, educational, and creative messaging and social campaigns to reach and engage Katalyst's target audience effectively
  • Be a natural content creator, with a passion for storytelling and concept creation that marry the brand messages with what is culturally relevant and will engage consumers on social
  • Work closely with Marketing Director and Copywriter to develop Katalysts voice and storytelling strategy on social
  • Conceptualize, copywrite, execute, and schedule content for organic social media channels including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Linkedin, and Reddit
  • Lead the creation of a social playbook and guidelines on how we show up across our key social channels
  • Create and maintain a cohesive content calendar that aligns with Katalysts overall brand and marketing initiatives and goals
  • Support the performance marketing team in producing content for sponsored ads on Meta and Google
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visual content such as infographics, videos, and images
  • Build community engagement through effective interaction with followers, providing product knowledge and assistance to customers, and escalating issues to appropriate internal member experience channels
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance of our social content, and continuously optimize social strategy based on our best-performing content
  • Communicating with key stakeholders, and monitoring KPIs, to understand where paid amplification would drive metrics
  • Have a finger on the pulse of todays ever-changing social media landscape and inform internal teams of important changes, shifts and/or opportunities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in social media and driving strategy across multiple social channels (startup experience preferred)
  • Expertise in all social platforms and best practices, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Linkedin, and Reddit
  • Experience managing external agencies/partners/talent without oversight
  • Proficient with reporting and analytics tools, and strong ability to take data and translate insights into a story or opportunity
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Strong creative instincts and judgment
  • Strong video and visual product skills, a background in visual design or graphic design is a plus
  • Work experience within the health and fitness industry. Bonus for experience specifically with connected fitness, wellness applications, and adjacent consumer brands
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and accurately prioritize
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to problem solve and find creative solutions for ambiguous problems
  • Passion for health and fitness

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and business needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
