We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Technology Practice. You will be responsible for the server side of our web applications. Youll be part of a cross-functional team with designers, researchers, and data scientists, thats responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a software developer, youll work closely with your team, as well as client stakeholders, to ensure system consistency and improve user experience. Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications that follow industry standards to meet our clients needs. Responsibilities:

  • Work with your client and their technology leaders to understand and integrate their existing systems and unique IT landscape
  • Communicate client-specific nuances, opportunities, and constraints to the rest of your team as you collaborate on application design
  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on using technology to consult, code, debug, and deploy
  • Contribute to and/or lead engagement-level planning for client projects
  • Work with other developers, preparing and documenting pull requests, performing and receiving code reviews
  • Architect, scaffold, develop, document, and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Engage and interact, as a full team member, with cross-functional agile team members such as marketers, researchers, designers, product managers, agile project managers, and data scientists to collaborate and build software solutions, while owning responsibility for integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Comfortably helps to lead team as needed, demonstrating flexibility, support, and good coaching skills
  • Engage in common workflow meetings such as stand-ups, team collaboration sessions, client meetings, and sprint retros
  • Contribute to technology practice-level strategy and best practices, along with future facing enhancements for Three Five Two
  • Participate in sales conversations throughout the different phases of the sales process to help understand the needs of the client, and to support sales from a technical and strategic perspective

Requirements

  • 6+ years of work experience and proficiency in building web applications
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process, from conception to deployment
  • 4+ years of work experience using Node.js to architect and create APIs using REST and/or GraphQL
  • Propensity to pick up and learn new technologies, libraries, and third-parties to solve the unique needs of a digital product
  • 4+ years of work experience with DB architecture and implementation of relational databases (e.g. Postgres, MSSQL, MySQL) and/or non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Proven experience taking on complex projects, both web and mobile
  • Experience working with project management tools (e.g. Monday, Jira)
  • Experience using Git in a team environment
  • Experience with front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, React)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

Extra Credit:

  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience in Unit Testing and/or Integration Testing
  • Experience in working with qualitative and quantitative research teams
  • Experience with building data-driven, user experience-led web applications and digital products
  • Experience using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to practice Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Familiarity with principles such as Lean Development and Lean Startup Methodologies, Building Minimum Viable Products, Design Sprints, and User-Centered Design
  • Experience in a Professional Services company, especially those that have partnered with a startup, growth company, or enterprise new venture group
