Job Description

Senior Embedded Software Engineer - (link removed) The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software for embedded systems.

You will be working with a team of engineers to create high-quality software that meets our customer's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain embedded software for various hardware platforms and architectures
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to design and implement software that works seamlessly with the hardware
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that meets industry standards
• Participate in code reviews to ensure that code is high-quality and meets project requirements
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and assembly
• Experience with real-time operating systems and microcontrollers
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet
• Knowledge of software development tools such as compilers, debuggers, and emulators
• Experience with software development processes such as Agile or Scrum
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hardware design and schematic capture tools
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and ZigBee
• Knowledge of security best practices for embedded systems
• Experience with firmware update mechanisms and techniques
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and frameworks such as unit testing and integration testing
