Duties include the following: write micro-services, primarily with Java 8; participate in code reviews; carry out system testing and debugging; work autonomously on projects, iron out the vagaries of requirements and proactively suggest work and improvements across systems; drive quality improvements by resolving pages or CritSits and following through on commitments; and mentor junior engineers and assist them in growing their engineering skills. Help verify the correctness of their work, as well as educate them on any gaps in their knowledge. Salary: One hundred ninety thousand to two hundred fourteen thousand eight hundred dollars a year.
The experience and education requirements are:
Employer requires a candidate to have at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience as a Software Engineer, Application Developer, or a related occupation.

Alternatively, employer requires a candidate to have at least a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and at least three (3) years of work experience as a Software Engineer, Application Developer, or related occupation.

Candidate must also have the following:

1. Demonstrated ability performing object-oriented programming gained through three (3) years of work experience;
2. Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases using MySQL gained through three (3) years of work experience; and
3. Demonstrated ability performing systems design gained through two (2) years of work experience.

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
