Key Qualifications

3-5 years QA experience, writing automation, test frameworks, automated test infrastructure.
Leadership ability, track record of leading cross-functional projects.
Proficiency in object oriented languages like Python, Swift, Javascript or Java.
Strong understanding of SQA methodologies and practices.
Proven knowledge of internet protocols, web proxies, caching and other web related fundamentals.
Strong networking fundamentals. Wi-Fi in particular. TCP/UDP, 2.4Ghz/5Ghz, RSSI.
Experience in white box testing.
Experience with robotics is a plus
Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
Ability to identify and triage issues.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills.

Description

The HomePod Whole Home Audio QA team is looking for an Automation Test Engineer that has strong automation experience as well as solid leadership qualities. Someone who is able to be a feature lead. Take that feature, be a cross-functional leader, write a solid test plan and be able to automate it (link removed) Were looking for that engineer that can do both. In this role your job responsibilities will include automation writing for new and existing features, triaging and maintaining automation, bug reporting, test plan review and documentation. The position demands a self-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a cross-functional team environment. You will need to show ability to communicate with Developers, Engineering Program Managers, and other QA Engineers to contribute in building solid and comprehensive test plans, executing & reporting results. If you have a passion for quality, this position is for you. The candidate must be dynamic and prepared to test and regress a high volume of changes on a day-to-day basis. This position requires strong analytical skills in not only approaching and writing automated tests but also in analyzing the details of test results. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
