We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineerto join us on our mission to improve the lives of patients who live with neurological disorders. In this role you will be responsible for our Quality Engineering efforts for the software components of our medical device.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to help shape the future of our company, executing projects from inception to production. You will collaborate with a small, high performing group of team members that are experienced with working within Quality Management Systems.

This position is on-site and can be based in our Mountain View (California) or NYC office. We are unable to consider applicants who are not currently in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to our Quality Manager you will use your expert understanding of IEC 62304 to develop and execute Quality projects specific to the Software Development Life Cycle from inception to production.
  • You will collaborate with our software engineering team to facilitate and complete design control, design verification and software defects reporting and management, risk analysis and system validation tasks.
  • You will take the lead in generating and maintaining Quality documentation associated with software engineering.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree or above in a technical or scientific discipline, or equivalent years experience.
  • 3+ years experience in software Quality positions working with FDA cleared and/or approved medical devices.
  • Previous experience working in a startup company.
  • A self-starter who enjoys working to challenging deadlines.
  • A great collaborator who seeks to work with a high-performing, friendly, close-knit team.
  • Experience with taking medical devices through from design to manufacturing, including resolving field defects (preferred)
  • American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) certification (preferred)
