SSCI is looking to fill an Senior Space Flight Software Engineer position for software projects relating to autonomous space systems.

*This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Dept. of Defense Security Clearance.*

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in R&D of Space/Robotics/Autonomous Systems Software.
• Proficiency with IDE-based object-oriented programming in C/C++ in Linux environment, and either Python or Matlab
• Experience with space systems
• Experience with Fault Detection / FDIR (Fault detection, isolation, and recovery) / FDC (Fault Detection & Correction)
• Experience with Aerospace algorithms, such as coordinate frame transforms, orbit propagation
• Experience successfully leading and delivering Flight Software for space systems and/or Autonomous Unmanned Systems
• Experience with Software-in-the-loop, PITL, and / or HITL flatsat testing
• Basic understanding of orbital dynamics, multiple orbit regimes

Desired Skills

• Experience with Spacecraft GNC / ADCS / AOCS
• Experience with spacecraft sensor integration
• Experience with developing and testing embedded software for SmallSats / CubeSats, satellite mission planning, and ground systems
