Senior Specialist - IT Security


Marsh McLennan's Global Information Security (MMC GIS) is seeking a candidate who has a passion to apply their information and cybersecurity knowledge and experience in supporting Asia Pacific client audits, contracts, and requests.

What you can expect:

You would be the dedicated information security resource supporting the Asia Pacific business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring internal and regulatory information and cybersecurity compliance required for Mercer's applications and solutions.

We will rely on you to:

Work with the legal team to review documents and contracts which define 3rd party and client relationships, communicate potential issues, propose mitigations, and shepherd contracts to completion as it pertains to information and cybersecurity clauses.
Provide relevant technical and security expertise and assistance with client questions, RFPs, questionnaires, reviews, and audits.
Identify opportunities to enhance the portfolio of cyber security controls and capabilities.
Cultivate security awareness of applicable regulations and standards, upstream risks, and industry best practices across the organization.
Serve as a security subject matter expert to ensure compliance with local Industry and regulatory rules and requirements.
Perform or manage information security assessments (i.e., PCI Self Assessments, ISO27001, etc.) as needed for comply with security standards and regulations.
Experience in consulting, audit, client delivery and presentation
Confidence in engaging with business and technology stakeholders to help them better manage their technology risk through pragmatic and fit for purpose solution.
Experience in consulting, audit, client delivery and presentation
Work closely with Mercer IT resources
Other tasks defined necessary by MMC GIS


What you need to have:

Energy, proactivity and desire to see things done efficiently.
Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and coherent manner to stakeholders
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and with various groups on information and cybersecurity items
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity


What makes you stand out:

Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience, in computer science, information systems, network engineering or other related field of study.
Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST.
Minimum 6-10 years in Information Technology and/or Information Security
Strong subject matter expertise in information security controls
Have a thorough understanding of PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA/HITECH, NIST, CPS234 and other relevant information security regulations and standards.
Information security related certification like CISA/CISM/CISSP
Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, PCI-DSS ISA or QSA
Attention to detail, and information and cybersecurity experience.
