The Opportunity

Do you love working with numbers? Well, you are in luck. East Bank Club is looking to add to its accounting team!

The Senior Staff Accountant at East Bank Club is Responsible for bi-weekly payroll. This individual will also be responsible for the preparation of monthly closing information for general ledger financial statement preparation and assist with the accounting for and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure internal control. In addition, this role will provide necessary accounting support and assist with the supervision and training of the accounting team. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to gain broad experience across all functions and areas of accounting and finance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll for the entire Club, including 401(K) funding and matching as well as payroll tax compliance.
  • Prepare assigned monthly closing journal entries
  • Research and analyze assigned general ledger account budget variances
  • Reconcile and prepare supporting documentation of assigned general ledger accounts
  • Review and analyze Food & Beverage inventory accounts
  • Prepare monthly Sales Tax
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the CFO or the Accounting Manager.
  • Assist with preparation of year end audit work papers
  • Prepare bank reconciliations

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the USA. We use E-Verify.
  • Must be able to work onsite 5 days per week
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to prepare and analyze accounting reports
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels within the organization to achieve objectives
  • Proficiency in using computers including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
