Position Description:
The selected individual will provide support to the Space Launch Systems (SLS) Program Operations and Strategic Communications Office. The individual will provide expert integration of multiple technically based programmatic reviews in support of programmatic objectives and a wide scope of diverse technically based efforts in support of the SLS to facilitate consistency of technical and programmatic requirements and objectives across multiple stakeholders including the Cross-Program Partners and the SLS Program Elements. Systems Management support includes the following:
• Develop systems management strategies, approaches and processes for meeting program requirements and conducting implementation activities (e.g., project/technical reviews). Apply discipline expertise to ensure that strategies, approaches, and processes are consistent with the NASA governance model.
• Perform integration and analysis of data, products, and software tools. Support programmatic reviews, technical meetings and associated briefings and track and report on activities and products.
• Provide technical oversight and product/documentation development and assess relevant reports and metrics for impacts.
• Prepare and/or provide systems management inputs to ensure program/project documentation is consistent with and meets the requirements of governing NASA documents (e.g., NPR 7120.5, NASA Space Flight Program and Project Requirements, and MPR 7120.1, Space Flight Program/Project Planning).
• Prepare and/or provide systems management inputs to Environmental Management documentation to ensure it is consistent with and meets the requirements of governing NASA and MSFC documents and policies.
• Provide systems management inputs to Program Planning milestone schedules for Lifecycle Reviews.
• Develop and/or provide systems management inputs to program/project documents and inputs to SLS control plans comprised of programmatic and technical management content.
• Conduct studies, perform systems analyses, and assist in research to provide data and information needed by the SLS Program Office for planning, decision making, and assessment of progress.
• Review SLS programmatic and relevant technical documents to synchronize planning, capture progress, and address requirement definition. Interface with participating organizations to address and reconcile differences and gaps.

Qualifications:
A degree in Engineering, (such as Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent) is required.
o Ph.D., with minimum of 9 years of experience,
o MS with at least 13 years of experience, or
o BS with at least 15 years of experience.
• Systems Engineering and Operations/Integration experience is desired.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule daily activities without direct day to day instruction or mentoring is required.
• The ability to facilitate or lead review planning and progress assessment meetings as well as conduct technical and documentation reviews is required.
• The individuals must be able to evaluate progress inputs to ensure compliance with requirements, and prepare summaries, reports, and presentations. This includes transforming complex technical and programmatic progress and descriptions into writings for management briefings to inform broad audiences of stakeholders.
• Technical writing and presentation capabilities are required. The selected individual will be required to present routinely at program level reviews.
