Senior Systems Engineer:

Responsible for development, update, maintenance and release of Space Launch System (SLS) system level Core Stage (CS) End Item Specifications and associated Verification planning and execution for Block 1 configurations for CS2 and CS3, and Block 1B configuration for CS4. Other responsibilities include: development of labor estimates, schedule inputs, and generation of Technical Volume inputs for SLS proposal activities for Requirements and Verification (R&V); review of SLS changes/commitments to identify cost, schedule and/or technical impacts to the R&V baseline; providing R&V support for SLS Component development; providing technical guidance and training for R&V to other program personnel; R&V support to Block 1B Layout development to ensure allocation and implementation of system requirements to design updates associated with Block 1B; and review, comment and approval of program documents for Systems Engineering.

Desired experience includes, but not limited to: R&V development, planning, implementation and execution; decomposition of customer requirements for development of SLS specifications; allocation of requirements to subsystems and components; traceability of requirements throughout the product architecture; functional analysis; collaboration with Customer and across program Product Teams to ensure consistent R&V effort across program; requirements and verification management using Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) tool; providing technical guidance and training for R&V; and development of labor and schedule estimates for R&V effort.

Required: Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. Must have a technical degree.

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. A security clearance is not required; however, candidate must be able to pass a background check. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL.
