Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze system requirements to determine testability, completeness, and consistency.
• Design and implement system verification test strategies/plan and test objectives, test procedures to evaluate the behaviour of the system as compared to the specified requirements.
• Design automated/semi-automated end to end verification tests in Python programming language for connected medical products/systems/cloud platforms.
• Develop new capabilities/tools, libraries in Python programming language to support test automation.
• Design and execute System Integration testing scenarios based on system architecture/designs.
• Drive the innovation in mobile apps test development and work closely with engineering teams to identify and act on the opportunities for automation and test tools.
• Perform peer reviews of verification test assets, test objectives and automated test scripts.
• Produce requirement-test traceability matrices to ensure adequate requirement coverage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile Software Development Life Cycle.
• Support regulatory submissions of specifications, test plans, and reports.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration & Test) roles and functions, including requirements management, requirements analysis, functional analysis, interface definition and verification.
• Experience in authoring and analyzing requirements.
• Experience in developing system architecture/designs and developing system integration testing.
• Extensive technical knowledge of advanced testing concepts and formal Software and Systems Verification strategies for regulated Software, preferably in the Medical Device Industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to positively influence individuals and groups.
• Experience with performance, security type of testing for connected platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
• Knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing Tools for Application Software as well as Embedded Systems.
• Understanding of hardware design and trade-offs, embedded (real-time) software trade-offs, performance and redundancy issues.
• Knowledge of Software and System Architectures, Software Engineering Best Practices, and programming and scripting languages.
• Understand SW/HW systems and be able to test for the types of failure modes associated with these systems.
• Experience using configuration management, requirements management, issue tracking systems.
• Experience with tools to evaluate application performance and memory utilization.
• Experience with developing/executing SQL queries and knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio.
• Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, specifically AWS Platform technologies.
• Experience building REST APIs.

Experience:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ Years' experience in Systems Engineering, Software Development and/or Software V&V.
• Server-side and Client-side verification testing expertise.
• Training, technical: Evidence of continuing education in technology improvement, advanced product development tools and processes.

Strongly Desired Skills:

• Experience in the Medical Device industry (or another regulated environment).
• 5+ years' experience programming in Scripting Languages (preferably Python).
• 5+ years of experience in C#.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience with AWS Platform technologies.
• Android app or Java development/Verification experience.
• Web Technologies - HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON.
• Experience with BLE technology.
• Familiarity with Appium, Selenium, Git, Zeplin, Jenkins.
